Preston Hollow Coffee
We held our first neighborhood coffee tonight in the Preston Hollow area near Hillcrest High School. The group of 40 was a diverse mix of loyal Republican voters, former Republican voters who have recently become disenchanted with the Party, and former Democrat voters who have turned against Obama and the Democrat House leadership. The overriding concern for our country was the level of government involvement from Washington, taxes, and the Democrats’ risky healthcare plan. Interestingly, every person there did not like the perception that some GOP activists emphasize issues that divide voters rather than unite them. Some of the guests recounted stories of being excluded by Republican groups because of their views on gay marriage and abortion.
