Happy Hanukkah
I am blessed to send holiday greetings to all of our friends and family.
When the Maccabees recaptured the Holy Temple, they found only a small portion of the pure oil needed to light the Menorah and rededicate the sacred place of worship. People of lesser faith would have despaired, but the leaders of that time knew that trust in the Almighty would see them through. Their determination was rewarded, and today, many centuries later, the miracle of the lights is celebrated with undiminished faith, thanks, and joy.
As we prepare to light the Hanukkah candles this year, we give thanks for God’s many blessings and His watch and care over our Nation. Let the menorah shine a bright light against the darkness of those who seek to supress the many freedoms that we enjoy today. Tricia, Esther, Jonathan, Jr., and I send our best wishes for a joyful Hanukkah.
