Jonathan is a native Texan, veteran of the Central Intelligence Agency, successful lawyer, Eagle Scout, and proud husband and father.
Jonathan’s roots in Dallas County go back nearly 30 years. Reared in East Dallas and Mesquite, he was a member of Boy Scout Troop 739 from Martha T. Reilly Elementary and played soccer in the Dallas East Soccer Association. After graduating first in his class from North Mesquite High School in 1992, he graduated from Texas A&M University in 1996 with a BS degree in Political Science. Jonathan graduated with honors from the George Washington National Law Center, where he served as Articles Editor of the International Law Review.
Jonathan served our country as an intelligence officer with the Central Intelligence Agency. He received numerous commendations for his service on the Balkans Task Force. In the aftermath of the September 11th terrorist attacks, Jonathan worked in the Counterterrorism Center, where he provided daily briefings to senior policymakers on global terrorist threats.

Jonathan believes that every Texan has a responsibility to make our communities stronger. He gives countless hours as a volunteer in Dallas County, including the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, the Center for Survivors of Torture, the United Way, and the Exchange Club of Lake Highlands. While in law school, Jonathan served as a volunteer emergency room counselor for victims of domestic abuse.
As a committed grassroots volunteer, Jonathan has seen firsthand the importance of the conservative movement on the political process. Jonathan is former President of the Dallas County Young Republicans and SREC Liaison for the Texas Young Republican Federation. He is a member of the Republican Jewish Coalition, Republican National Lawyers Association, the Republicans for Environmental Protection, and a Sustainer with the Maverick Pac.
Jonathan Neerman is a devoted husband and father. He resides in Lake Highlands with his wife Tricia and daughter Esther. They are members of Temple Emanu-el and attend Wilshire Baptist Church.
